This site was created by Alan W Szlosek Jr. For some reason I derive much pleasure from the painful practice that is programming.

After some time I received a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Florida State University.

Employment

Currently working at Greaterscope, LLC, a company I started with a friend.

Previously I did PHP+MySQL programming for Content Management and Ecommerce applications at 540 Interactive. Before that I did ColdFusion+MySql at a small(ish) ISP.

Programming Interests

• Innovative languages and libraries
• Innovative Operating Systems (say no to Fedora Ubuntu spin-offs)
• Reviving old hardware with better software and operating systems
• Improving code for readability, comprehension and organization
• Leveraging OOP for more than just organization
• Reinventing the wheel like a minimalist
• Writing tools and libraries

Computers Currently in Use

VIA Epia CL10000: 1Ghz 512MB RAM. Runs ArchLinux as my main Desktop/Development machine
Toshiba 335CDS laptop: 266Mhz 64MB RAM. Runs my own distro. For when I don't feel like being at my desk.
Dell 900Mhz Celeron: Runs Windows XP for when I need to do Windows things.
